Well that was quick

I'm in the middle of watching this movie and I get to the part where finn's foot gets caught in the trap. I find it odd that following said event,Finn and Maya suddenly kiss and develop the most random of relationships. Where the hell did that come from? One minute she is yelling at him for deer shooting then she is making out with him next to her incapicated father...mmmmkay.
