how much screen time does she have in this movie? I'm thinking about watching it but it would only really be for her :)

It almost seems as if Kristen Stewart is making out in half of her scenes. Even at a young age she made it look so real, almost too real. How can anyone say this actress has no talent. Kristen was also the most normal of all the members of this dysfunctional family who did as they pleased and were not held accountable for their actions, carte blanche. As usual she wears her heart on her sleeve and turns out a superb performance. While I am a fan of Diane Lane and Donald Sutherland, I watched this movie primarily because Kristen played a supporting actress role.

I was thinking the same thing, that Maya was one of the more normal family members. For a rich kid among a somewhat dysfunctional family, she had a common sense and deceny about her, not spoiled or part of the dysfunction. And I also feel that Kristen did a good job in this role.
She has an important role and is amazing in the movie. My fav part actually.

The odd thing is, I think she was more talented when she was younger. I found her acting in this and "Speak" really believable, but then as she got older, I feel like she became more inhibited or something. I'm not sure what it is, but she just seems really uncomfortable with emotional scenes now, so that it no longer comes off natural and realistic looking.

She just doesn´t cut it for me...and opposite Anton (whom I consider one of the most talentest actors I´ve ever seen...!)? How could that possibky work?? Nah, she´d ruin it for me...
Ok, so I am a huge Kristen fan, but I know where you are coming from. She tends to make the same facial expressions in many of her films. That being said, she is not Bella in this movie. She has more substance and more to work with. The majority of the time you will see her in this film, she will making out. She and Anton actually have great chemistry. I would see it regardless of your feelings for Kristen. And I think you will be pleasantly surprised.
