How disappointing

I like the first one very much so yesterday I rented this: too kiddish.
I tought "Gosh, Disney is gone! This is the last straw". I kept watching it to the end, hoping it would improve on its way, bur it was hopeless Yzma, who used to be very cool in the firt one, is now pathetic!

What do you think???

ok, you're right, but these are errors on typing and distraction. Anyway thanks for reminding!

I like how every single post in this board except the has NOTHING to do with original topic.

I personally giggled like a little school girl when i saw this movie....

I actualy really liked this movie! I laughed the whole way through it! But it really depends how old you i guess. I'm 16, and so is my friend, and WE BOTH LOVED IT!!! =D

reply

im 13 and i didnt like it at all

I'm almost 15 and it sure had some hilarious moments- I mean it was very Disney-fied, and in no way will be receiving an Oscar for its plot- but still it was funny. Something to watch when you have nothing to do.

reply

oh, and I loved this movie. yay Kronk!

I have to agree. This movie was terrible. The title of the movie sounded funny (I love Kronk) but OMG I couldn't even finish the movie! So kiddish and a waist of time.

*goes to watch the first movie*

reply

Uh... The first half is definately NOT kiddish.

I do agree when they get to the squirrels camp, it gets insanely kiddish. So just turn it off, or hit skip a couple times, and you're golden. Yzma is funny as ever....

"Help me to help you to help them, and then you'll hear em say!"

Great song, it's still stuck in my head.

And I loved that for once, Disney got the original voice actors to cast the sequel. There's nothing more disappointing than watching Alladin 2 and NOT hearing Robin's voice.

I have to say that I really liked this movie. Although, it did just spin off Kronk's little episodes and put them together instead of bringing all of them into ONE ongoing conflict---well, it did do that. However, the way it was executed did seem a little sophmoric. After all, this is a kid's movie to be enjoyed without much thought as to the details this is not a thriller in which every single detail has to add up to the grand equation--though it is on a smaller scale. I have to say I loved the return of Yzma and I'd like to see her get a groove (mainly because I like Eartha Kitt's voice). It was on a scale of 1-10 a nice solid 7 although the details might not have been completely spot on, it was a good movie that made us care about Kronk and how he went about achieving his dreams.

Furthermore, I think everyone wants approval from Mom and Pop. It is an essential part of being a kid to Pop whoever. No matter how old we are we want the big thumbs up, they did it nicely.

I don't say this often... but this movie is terrible... the first one was such a breakthrough and this movie is ridiculously terrible derivative Disney bullcrap. I actually sold my dvd copy to a pawn shop... and I never do that. Only watch if you want to cry yourself to sleep.

You should call this a Gob, guy!

It had some good points but was ultimately disappointing and a waste.

Supermodels...spoiled stupid little stick figures mit poofy lips who sink only about zemselves.

I agree. I loved the first one. But this one wasn't funny, it wasn't interesting, and the songs literally hurt my ears! I kept thinking it had to get better, as movies often do, but it never did. The only mildly amusing bits were the references to various other movies. Or at least some of them.

On a related note - how pathetic has Disney become that they keep throwing these cheap, crappy remakes of various Top 40 hits in all of their movies these days?

I can totally agree with the poster of this topic. I didn't like it either I thought it was going to be pretty good but it turned out to be too kiddy. It had more singing and dancing then the other one and I personally don't like the disney movies that have a whole lot of singing and dancing I like more of the action and talking and whatnot. They just seemed to do a half @$$ job on it I don't know. Not to mention Ms. Birdwell was not good looking at all. I guess I was expecting more then what I saw. But hey that's the new disney for you.
