I was shown this film in a CNA training class and was floored. Deeply emotional with superb performances from the entire cast.

Agreed. The emotion of the performances was remarkable.
Also, the camera showing the story from the point of view of the patient was well done.

Great movie. Emmanuelle Seigneur and Matheiu Amalric are wonderful actors. They should be used in Hollywood more often. The story was great as well. Very touching, even if it was hard to watch.
