How was this movie not nominated for anything?

I absolutely love this movie. It is so refreshing in so many ways. It has a great script and talented acting, yet it shows to have not been nominated for anything. Not even one of those awards that no one has ever heard of. I just don't get it, this movie should be at the top of any critics list, especially if looking at it from a romantic comedy perspective. I say it needs to become a cult sensation, which is rare for its genre.

Why do you think recognition is the criterion for success ?
It's good that only some people know .

BTW, why the F does everything look so old in the movie- starting from hairstyles to dresses and everything? It's very clear that the movie is based on a contemporary setting . Although he compares it with old Hollywood movies, that doesn't justify it .
