Does Zac actually understand 'Space Odyssey'?

He might not speak English, so I've been wondering if he actually understands his records.

Thoughts?

There's a good chance he does, a good chance he doesn't. There is no way to ever actually know. It really isn't all that important anyway.

I'm sure he does. Even if it wasn't him singing along with the song, his lip-syncing was too perfect not to know the english language. I'm sure english is taught in public schools in Canada.

*Space Oddity

It's likely he does know, it's set in French Canada? I don't know much about Canada, but it seems weird for English to be totally unknown.. He also is spoken English to by a guy at the club in Israel who he later hooked up with, so he may of known English. Even still, I'm sure probably would of found out from someone at school or something.

*Space Oddity indeed.

Even though English lessons in public schools back in the 1970's were not what they are now, I can certify that Zac understood what he was singing, for I am a Quebecer (French Canadian) myself.

Today, anyone here with a bit of an education at least understand English even if when it comes to write it or speak it fluently, it can be sometimes laborious for the first minutes, let's say.

I watch all movies in their original version and I read novels in English as well. I learned the language at school but a lot also, when I was young, by watching X-Men and The Simpsons, hehe!

I agree I think he does understand the words

I think it was more the connection to David Bowie which made him feel normal for once
imagine all the feelings he had about not fitting in then along comes Bowie who is a superstar wears makeup dyes his hair red wears dresses
I just love that scene
shows the power of music
