Description: Up and coming British composer Mark Conrad Chambers has crafted a stylish score for The Witches Hammer, an entertaining vampire movie starring Stephanie Beacham as a genetically modified vampire trained to kill who is sent on a mission to stop the Souls of the Damned being unleashed into our dimension. Right from the opening, energetic 'Witches Hammer Theme', Chambers sets the tone of the film with a dark orchestral language focusing on low strings and gothic- romantic themes - sometimes paying homage to Wojciech Kilar's Dracula score - contrasted by some modern techno rhythms for the action sequences. Varied and entertaining, the album is over one hour long. The Witches Hammer is Mark Conrad Chamber's first feature film score - and an impressive one it is!
