'described' version available?

I saw this film at the February 2012 Sedona Film Festival and, like many film-goers, was captivated. I know a DVD version is to be released on July 10 and want to buy a copy for my best friend, who is blind, and whose first guide dog was, yes, a yellow Lab. I hope either the forthcoming release OR the now-available on-line version are 'described' (i.e., a voice-over soundtrack describing on-screen activity *in addition to* the regular voice-and-music track. Can someone offer information about this or indicate if/when a described version will be available? Thank you.
