Does the dog die? (That's all I want to know.)

I came here for the same reason, to ask that. Usually I avoid spoilers like the plague, but when it comes to movies in which animals play a major role... I'm sorry but I just cannot watch a dog movie in which the dog dies at the end. I just can't. So I have to be sure beforehand that that's not gonna happen.
