Depressing NOT Uplifting!

It was a nice try, but a lot of the story seemed to contradict itself. The most depressing part was that everyone else seemed to return to their younger selves after they died, but Eddie stayed old. When he met his wife for the first time again, she was young. At the end, when he was reunited with her again, she was a little older and he was still way old. Did I miss something?! Otherwise, this is nothing to look forward to. :(

She was as old as she was when she died. She just happened to be a lot younger than Eddie when she died.

The OP must have also missed the part where his wife was still young, and he asked her if she could make herself older, which she did, because he liked it better that way.
