Director made Young Australian of 2005

The Australian government has just made the movie's director, Khoa Do, the Young Australian of the Year. Khoa was born in Vietnam in 1979. His family fled Vietnam in a small boat the next year. They were attacked by pirates twice but made it to a Malaysian refugee camp and were then accepted by Australia. I heard Khoa speak at the Australia Day Council's lunch in Sydney. He's a very funny and impressive guy.
