spoiler please?

I watched this movie on cable at 1 AM. I managed to stay awake long enough to see the entire movie except maybe the last 5 minutes up to the point where the main character promised the detective that he will turn himself in. Could anyone tell me how the movie ends? I assume that the main character killed himself.

Dude i saw the movie on the international channel that same night. I tried to find it on kazaa and DC and BT. All of the sites that import japanese movies all tell me that it is not licensed in America so u cannot buy it legally. No one has it...

basically the end goes like this as i remeber:

SPOILER!

before he is suppsed to go to the detective, he is riding his road raceer into oncomming trafic and dies. Then that remake pink floyde song plays and the movie ends.

I too wish I knew where to get this movie, it's truly lovely. I've looked on DC and WinMX and all these other P2P programs for it too, but no luck >_<

"Then that remake pink floyde song plays and the movie ends."

Do you know who made the remake, or where to get it?! I made a whole thread about this a while ago in this movie's forum, but no one replied >_< I desperately want to get a hold of that remake, but I can't find it anywhere nor do I know who did it.

To be more accurate he rides his bike head on into a blue semi-type truck.
They then cut to Noriko (I think that's her name) working on a picture of Shuuichi in his 30's. She tells him she's working on the picture prior to him killing himself.

I bought the Japanese region 2 dvd from yesasia.com. A poor online streamed version can be found in the "drama" section of www.crunchyroll.com. I wanted to rip my dvd version to avi and then find subtitles for them but, I haven't got around to it.

BTW, the Japanese dvd is Japanese language only with no subtitles. You can buy it for 30 bucks but you better have the lines for each scene memorized so that you don't get confused watching it. I've watched it so many times online with subtitles that I was able to remember what was being said in each scene. If you buy the dvd, make sure your dvd player is region free or can play region 2 (non-north america) dvds.

I wish the dvd's quality was better but it's okay; it'd been better if it only costed 15 bucks for its average quality and no English subtitles. I screened it on my dlp projector onto a 10 foot screen (although no home theater sound), it looked nice enough.
