Post War Dream - The version of the song used in this movie

The version of Pink Floyd's song The Post War Dream used in this movie sounded totally different from the two versions of the song I know exist (the original recording and the recording from The Final Cut). Did someone other than Pink Floyd perform this song? If so, who?! I really would like to get a hold of this new version, cause it sounded wonderful and so much better than the original.

Any help at all will be much appreciated :)

The song is by Pink Floyd and comes from the '83 album "Final Cut".

I don't mean to be ungrateful, but did you fully read my original post? The version in the movie isn't from that album; I doubt it's by Pink Floyd period.

reply

yeah man, i only heard 10 seconds of it in a trailer, but that ain't pink floyd. i was wondering who did it too....

The end credits gives Roger Waters the credits for that song from the Pink Floyd albumn Final Cut (1983). I googled it, and it apperantly is the case, although the version of the song from the album sounds different from the movie's version so that the movie version may have not been performed by Pink Floyd.

oh this song just kill me.
u provably got an answer by now but it sounded like Roger Wsters solo.
might be wrong.

I am he as you are he as you are me and we are all together.

No, I still haven't gotten an answer. IMHO no Pink Floyd/Roger Waters recording of the song sounds even remotely like the one used in the movie, so I remain adamant that it's indeed another band/singer. Too bad it seems like I won't ever know who it is -- or get a hold if it, for that matter :\

Saw this movie 4 days ago and this song has been stuck in my head ever since. I was also certain that it wasnt Pink Floyd doing this version. It sounds much newer and for lack of a better word younger. Its not pink floyd.
