Am I the only one who thought Loretta Devine was astonishing in this movie playing such an unsympathetic character and gave an award-worthy performance that will probably went unnoticed by the Hollywood Foreign Press and the Academy?
shareYou are definitely not the only one who feels this way about Loretta. Ms. Devine was so convincing in this role to me, I just had to find out more about her after I watched the film because I was so upset with her. I had to keep reminding myself that it's just a movie lol!
Loretta Devine is an incredible actress! She made me despise 'her' in this role.

Yeah, 'tis best to take this movie with a grain of salt...and a dose of "Boston Public" reruns to counter Loretta's character in this movie with the positive role she played on that show.
sharei'm not sure it was oscar or golden globe worthy but it was definetly notable...however i do think that kimberley elise gave an oscar worthy performance
