all the alleged know it alls that complain that the movies sucked....take your complaining somewhere else. There are good concepts in this movie and it takes a unique individual with an open mind, who can discern wisely...the things that are beneficial in this movie.
I've noticed that every single positive post about this movie contains the phrase, 'open mind'. "You have to have an open mind." "All you nay-sayers out there can't appreciate this movie because you don't have an open mind." Blah blah blah. I'm wondering, what exactly does it mean to have an open mind? Because, apparently it means to believe without question.
This movie is pseudo-scientific crap. Terminator II has more scientific accuracy and life affirming messages.
Agree with you davidd. This "open mind" mantra is the lament of those who stroke their chins over wild claims and nonsense and imagine they're very deep for "understanding" voodoo science without resorting to bothersome questions, research or the scientific theory.
I think the term "open mind" is being used in the term of contemplating it rather than rejecting it immediatley. Actualy i think the term open mind kind of encourages research and such, actualy thats what the original poster blatantly says, that you should watch this movie with a grain of salt.
Wrong. Taking something "with a grain of salt" means to have a healthy dose of skepticism. Neither the OP nor the term "open mind" suggests having doubt or reservations.
THATS WHAT HE BLEEDIN SAYS, WHAT DO YOU EVEN THINK THE MEANING OF THIS STRING REFERS TOO? He is in fact encouraging us to believe the bits we want and realize the false bits.
God, why are you people so determined to bash this filma and anyone who believes it. I mean its just as wacky to believe in a magic carpenter. Everything is relative.
Because the sheer volume of psycho-babble *beep* and pseudoscience kind of kills the credibility of anything you could even remotely come close to taking seriously.
The whole thing is a crap sandwich and I'm not keen on brown bread.
