The first 1/3 of the movie is pretty fantastic. It's high-end Logan's Run. After they start getting chased it falls off the rails, though. Tone that down from eleven to maybe a four and focus on them adapting to life on the outside (fish out of water storytelling like Stallone in Demolition Man), as well as trying to expose the goings-on inside the factory would have been so much more interesting.
I still had fun watching it. Great cast.

I haven't seen The Island in a long time but if I recall correctly I always thought it borrowed heavily from THX-1138 more than any other film which "influenced" it.

shareCool premise, agreed, but it's a Micheal Bay movie. Shits gotta blow up! It also has enormous plot holes, but i still enjoy it for what it is.
