This movie made an astonishing 35m domestic total and 127 overseas. barely making its 126 budget back.

had they paid Tom Cruise or Will Smith 20m you could comfortably put a 1 in front of that 35 and a 227 instead of the 127m.

Guess they must've thought hiring Obi Wan would bring some of that SW prequel box office..

I guess that's probably true. But for me, if I saw Tom Cruise headlining , I wouldn't have even watched it. After seeing his Scientology video awhile back, I just can't tolerate him for even 5 minutes. I was impressed with McGregor's acting.

Yeah, Tom Cruise was born to play in this kind of movies.
