I'm not sure if it's the last one with a serious story line but it wouldn't surprise me if it was. I blame in on the High School Musical craze. Ever since those movies came out all the following disney films have had some kind of a musical theme or background plot involving music and/or dancing. It's getting very annoying. There used to be some quality DCOMs like this one but now it seems all of them are fluff pieces.
