6 directors???

First of all, I absolutely love this movie. I added it to my VCD collection and wanted to update my list when I realized I had to write down 6 names in the "Director" column. Does anybody know the story about how 6 people gathered together to direct this movie, and went on to direct other movies after this one? I've never seen a movie directed by more than 2-3 people. Any information will be highly appreciated.
