Did this movie make you cry?

I'm not one to really cry while watching a film but it happens every once and awhile. I wrote up this discussion of the handful of films that have done it to me in my life. I remember watching the made for tv version of this as a child and it hit me pretty hard. I wondering if the updated version could still get e today as an adult?

I just finished watching. I swear, I have never cried more over any other movie. I had no idea what the story was about going in, and I almost couldn't handle the end.

I'm 27. I was 20 when it came out. I cried then, and now (after probably seeing the movie 20 or 30 times since it came out), I still tear up.

I'm a 49-year-old man and I cried when I watched this film. I didn't know anything about it before watching it on tv last night. I think it was the understanding that he reached with his father that really got to me.

I'm a Male and I was 20 or 21 Y/O when this I saw this, and even though I held my tears in as much as I could i did cry :p

Enough is enough! I have had it with these monkey fighting snakes on this Monday thru Friday plane!

Yes, this is the first movie that made me cry & the movie that unlocked my emotions. Now I cry at movies more frequently.

I cried...I had a kind of idea what was going to happen, because I read about how it was a sadder movie then the trailers suggest, but damn it hit me like a truck, especially how sudden, random and unexpected it was...plus AnnaSophia Robb portrayed Leslie so well...every actor was great.

This may be the saddest movie I’ve ever seen. It hit me worse than movies like Titanic.

And I read the book; I had a good idea of what I was getting into. But when I saw the first rope scene and saw how well it was set up dramatically, I got a knot in my throat. I knew what was coming.
