misleading cover

On the cover of this movie I see Sam and Julian looking totally comfortable with each other. When I watched the movie, there was little comfort between Sam and Julian (except the very, very end) or little comfort between Sam and anyone else in the movie. Sam was so busy hiding his feelings of love and the movie spent too much time on the backlashing between Sam and everyone else who should have been a support but just ended up yelling at Sam and Sam keeping everything inside, but exploding every so often. This gay themed movie is no different than many others on the subject of finding out one is gay and the problems it causes all around to themself and everyone around them (ie, abusive father, mother finding a card to a gay club in her son's pants while doing laundry, how original,a girlfriend who meanly interogates his suspicious behavior, asking to stay the night at his best friend (love interest) only to leave in the middle of the night with no hint that your interested in the guy at all (which supposedly you are. Sam makes no stands or declarations of love which leaves the viewer frustrated watching Sam's actions. I found the plot vague and the acting sort of childish or brutish with no in between. It could have been a lot more positive in it's message instead of floundering. Sure, it's hard to find out your gay; that's nothing new really. Why perpetuate the let down of it all and resulting violence?
