there's an interesting connection there : in the series 'kindred : the embraced', bauchau's role is archon raine, ventrue of san fransisco. kindred, of course, being a fancy name for vampires...

and then, in this b-grade film with a similar title, he appears as raine*s*! to quote a pleasant old tv-vicar, "i think there's something in that for all of us."

i think the more "interesting" connection is his role as sydney in pretender...and his evil colleague at the Centre was Mr Raines.

I think the more interesting connection is that he is a real life vampire named Mvua, which is Swahili for rain.
