It IS technically part 3 on the "Vampires" movies begun by John Carpenter's original - but none of the filmmakers are the same from the first two. Basically, they're just releasing a vampire movie under the familiar "Vampires" logo to make a few extra bucks.
shareit is related a bit in spirit as it has slayers working for money, pulling vampires out of the house with a winch and into the sunlight,and getting a head count on how many they killed.none they werent the main focus of the movie and raines was no jack crow. i also didnt buy the fact that if the femake vampire died all vampires would cease to exsists because its not the way they made it sound when they discussed it. not a horrible movie though

As a movie critic, who watches about 2 movies a day on average, I must agree Underworld was a very good movie. That's all I'm saying, no more stupid internet arguements. UG = Very well done semi-in-depth movie.

Movie was pretty, just boring, drawn out and unbalanced.

shareYou are damn straight. What a 'unbalanced' person, lol. But if you want my opinion, Underworld wasn't a great movie, but it was surely a good movie. Ofcause it could have been a better movie if they wrote a better script, but for the rest this was a good vampire movie. Better then most vampire flicks these days. I don't think I've seen a "great" horrormovie since FFCoppola's Dracula (especially Gary Oldman was great) and Interview with a Vampire, with Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise (finally he played a dark charactor. Sure, there are some good ones, but not Great ones....
I also think it must be hard to make an original horrormovie these days. But they keep trying and mostly they are average like this one (Vampires: The Turning) and some are good, like Underworld, but the real great ones are far and in between. Bye folks!!

Too much time lapse photography, and it was pretty damn unorignal cross between the american ninja movies and every other bad vamp flick. And UW was ABSOULTELY the MOST UNORIGNAL vamp film ever made. It was shot very well and the costumes were amazeing, but that was the films only saveing grace.
