I read somewhere that Vampires The Turning is part of the same series as John Carpenter's Vampires and John Carpenter presents Vampires Los Muertos. Is this true? I haven't watched this movie yet but John Carpenter's name isn't in it and the plot seems to have nothing to do with what the first and second movies were about. Why is this movie considered a sequel?
I just bought the boxed set that contains John Carpenter's Vampires, John Carpenter's Vampires: Los Muertos, and Vampires: The Turning. I've watched them all. I don't think Vampires: The Turning is a sequel. It has nothing to do with the other 2 movies except for the fact that in Los Muertos and The Turning they use the same method of detecting a vampire, binoculars that show body heat. And in both movies the vampires body heat is only 41 degrees F.
During the opening credits of An American Werewolf in Paris it says "based on characters from An American Werewolf in London by John Landis". AAWiP has nothing to do with AAWiL apart from having the same type of werewolf.
Is there anything like that in the credits of Vampires The Turning?
Actually, in Paris the girl werewolf played by Delpy was supposed to be the daughter of the American Werewolf in London and Jenny Agutter, who moved to Paris and re-married.
