What is up with Natassia Malthe being cast as a college student? I'm a fan of hers and I'm all for her getting more roles, but a college student? Though I guess if Tom Welling can be cast as a high schooler, it's not a big stretch for Natassia to be cast as a college student.

a thirty-something college student is more acceptible than Minka Kelley playing a 17 year old high school student on her series... I mean, being in college is sort of open ended, if you saw someone in their 40's in college, you wouldn't be surprised.... however, if you see someone nearly 30 that's still in high school, it may be time to call the police.
It's pretty clear that most the casting directors are men, and they never really get past "how's she look in the nude" department, even when they're casting someone for a part ten years younger.
