First half of this film was painfully slow

I barely made it through the first part of the film.

The dialogue between Owen and Aniston during their first meeting on the train was very intriguing. Everything in the first part of the film after that was paced too slowly. And the main actors seemed so emotionally repressed, emotionally flat, considering the events they were involved in.

Not sure whether the main problem was the direction or what, but I think this story could have worked a lot better in other hands.

I do not think the set up was slow, it laid the foundations and set up the mislead which Clive Owen mentioned at the beginning of the film.

Its that man again!!

I agree; I even thought of turning it off right before the hotel scene.

i am happy i made it through 100x no way boring to me. i love it.

and love the music from the opening in prison scene realistic, to him waking up with dog on the bed ha ha! i love it. and REALLY love the wife rushing to her daughter sick, side on the floor to find the needle for her daughter medicine etc, and giving it to her while in a diabetic shock so realistic, great first part.

Oh.

The slowness would have been okay if the Charles character hadn't been acting so stupidly.
