It Never Fails

Y'know, over the years, I have learned that television networks are run by a unique breed. This breed is known as "Morons". This breed is usually prevalent in the airing of syndicated programs. They can usually be found to be inhabiting major networks, but they are pretty much everywhere these days.

They can even be found across the ocean.

For instance, take the program entitled "55 Degrees North", or "Night Detective" as it's called in the U.K. (I know it as "Night Detective" so I'll call it that.)

Anyway, with one thing or another going on in my life, I haven't been able to watch it as often as I like. But now, when I finally get a chance to sit down and watch an entire episode, when it's finally getting good, when DS Cole and Claire Maxwell look to finally be getting busy, [b]BBC America[/] seems to have taken it off their schedule.

I tell ya, it never fails.

most television programs and Networks have useless bits of information staff. Just when things get interesting you get Syndication, cuts and cancellations.

Exactly.

And I like your username, and your quote/signature. From "The Three Doctors", the exchange between the First Doctor and the Second Doctor.

Is the black fella the star..is he American?

I know most British television series have "seasons" that are 6 or 8 episodes long, it's just that I thought the series wasn't all that recent, and BBCAmerica was just being fickle with their programming.

i hope they make a series three!

I'd just like to mention that "55 Degrees North" is called "55 Degrees North" in the UK and not "Night Detective" which is the US title I believe.

reply

Remember that the first series of 55 Degrees North had only 6 episodes, the second one only 8 (2nd series hasn't aired in the U.S. yet, but I'm sure it will) and if you're hoping Claire and Nicky get together, you're up of a disappointment... they're taking their time with that relationship. Maybe it's not supposed to happen.

Thanks for the spoiler......

Who knows, maybe there'll be a third series and you get your wish.

reply

what wish?

reply

... of Claire and Nicky getting together.

reply

No 3rd series.

See my post above.

Hi, sorry I was being a drip. It's in the other thread, the "Who Wants A Third Series?" one.

I e-mailed the BBC and the reply is posted in there :D

I was just pointing out that for anyone who was curious to find out about Claire and Nicky, found out they didn't get together from you and not through watching the show..... hence the spoiler comment because there was no warning you were telling what would happen later...
