Never saw this at the time it was first on. Got the DVD from Blockbuster and watched the first episode. Won't be watching any more and sent it back. It was like a third - rate European TV cop drama. Rubbish.

"Rubbish": Yes yes YES. Predictable stories, two-dimensional characters, soap-opera-esque plots and dialog; Don Gilet can't act, and he and Kerwin have no chemistry (I fast-fowarded thru their embarrassingly bad scenes together). An absolute waste of time. I'm astonished by the high ratings -- must be because of multiple voting by fans.
Lewis, Morse, George Gently (1st 4 seasons) -- *those* are good detective dramas with depth and with well-developed characters.
It's bad enough that the public at large can't distinguish between good drama and crap, but it's *appalling* that so many TV "writers" are equally obtuse.
