If anyone is interested, here is a link to some pics from my newest movie, EXILE, which is still in production. The acting, pacing, etc. have been upped, several notches. It should be pretty fun.
I really liked working with Heather, on THE AWAKENING. Though I had the idea of a blind, stranded pilot, for a long time, this movie was written for Heather. Her demeanor translates perfectly to the android character of Reyna. Yes, she's packing heat!
I agree! GO MIKE! The pics look very action-packed! Will you be in the film? Will it have scary scenes like in Terrarium? Will the guns be using blanks this time? Can you upload clips/trailers when the movie is finished? Oh, I CAN'T WAIT!!!! Good luck, Mr. Conway!! :)
"A hijacked cargo shuttle is shot down, crash-landing on a hostile planet. Pilot, Jason (Brian Sheridan) is blinded by severe head trauma and can do little as a ferocious predator attacks his crew. His only hope lies in the hands of a new kind of non-linear intelligent, prototype android, named Reyna (Heather Lei Guzzetta)."
That's just part of it. While the synopsis sounds a little TERRARIUM-esque, it is quite a different movie. Most of the exteriors are daylight scenes. It has a lot more action and fast pace. The hijacking starts just a couple minutes in. I wanted a more polished effort, so I actually paid set builders and experienced actors, this time around. The performances are pretty solid.
You'll have to wait and see why the guys with breathing masks are beating up Jason. It's a pretty big plot point. :>)
As for the story, there are two planets at war - Grandlibon (which has a rich society, with many resources) and Kamoorsta, which is an icy planet, with desperate people. Kamoorstans often make raids and steel fom Grandibon.
Between those two planets is a 3rd world, called Midlanteer. It has a very thin atmosphere (which Jason gets used to.) Jason's shuttle is hijacked and shot down over Midlanteer. He is tying to evade capture or death at the hands of Kamoorstan troops.
The alien monster was built by Scott Lichfield. Some CGI is used to make it more life-like.
