What was Sayori's purpose to have sex with that american man when pumpkin screwed her by bringing the chairman??? I couldn't understand some of what they were saying in the movie? Can anyone explain please?

Sayuri's fate was sealed with Nobu; he would become her danna. He said that if he saw her with any other man she would be dead to him. Pumpkin was supposed to bring Nobu because Sayuri was grasping at her only chance to stop having to be with Nobu. It was sad that she would go to those lengths to hurt and anger a man who had been nothing but good to her. The book went into much more detail about Sayuri's relationship with Nobu and they were very good friends, but she did not desire him in any other capacity.
