Deucalion's Tattoos

anyone know what they are ??

reply

Well, if I'm not mistaken. This was discussed in the book. I believe they were a rush job on what should have been a very elaborate set of tattoo's given to Deucalion by monks to project him. I might have mixed up the characters, but those are the only tattoo's I can explain.

He was tattoed in the Monastery by the Monks to hide the side of his face. I was a little disappointed in the way he looked in the movie, but we have to remember that this was originaly written as a movie. then Koontzhowever, didn't like the way the movie was going, so he decided to write the books. So, maybe the tattoos were added for the book. But, as the case usually is, the books are always so much better. I do like the sasting of Adam Goldberg as Michael. He has the right delivery for the dry wit. Also, like i tell everyone, read Odd Thomas. Great book. And my favorite book ever, Strangers. I am hoping one day they do it right and make it a Kick Ass mini-series, like the stand.

I worked on the movie and he was supposed to have elaborate tattoos, but because of the time it would have taken to reapply the elaborate tatts each day the higher ups went with something a little less. this movie was shot in less than 25 days. it was intense.

Actually (in the books) it was given to him by the Tibetan monks to try and cover the scarring he obtained when trying to attack Victor Helios. It was an attempt to make him less of a "freak".
