The Worst Frankenstein Film I Have Ever Seen

Just watched this tonight on Channel 5, and have to say that it is the worst Frankenstein movie I have ever seen. The monster didn't even look like a monster, and in fact looked more like the creator himself than the created. The plot was also very weak and, at times, just plain puzzling. In short, a load of garbage.

Thank God for Boris Karloff and Peter Cushing!

I totally agree. For me, there has never really been a contemporary Frankenstein movie that has come even close to equallying those of Karloff and Cushing, and I don't think there ever will be.

Frankenstein, The True Story (which starred Leonard Whiting as Victor) and Frankenstein Unbound (which was rich in sheer horror) are the only two movies I can think of that were worthy of watching. Have the former on DVD but not the latter.

Watched it on C5 also, but was it ever explained how Helios regenerated himself?

What was with the ending? Was there supposed to be sequel or series? It was like it ended halfway through!

They should have just stuck with the books and not try and change things, I wanted to see the rest of the books be made. I think it could have been better.

I haven't seen the movie, but that does sound much like the creation in Koontz book. He wasn't some babbling kill hungry monster, but a very intelligent (Apparently Frankenstein's assistant didn't bring the brain from "Abby Normal"). In the book he's nothing like the monster.....To me the most monster aspect of the book is that they took one large book and broke it into three books where the first two had cliff hangers prompting to buy the remainders to find out the rest of the story. King could have done that with The Stand, but instead you got one long completed story
