Did anyone else see the irony?

A pair of identical twins hold the key to the murder of their own mother. Indentical twins who sometimes even lookalike! And the same actor (David Proval) played both parts. Patty Duke is in this same movie playing a nun. The Flying Nun was up against the Patty Duke Show back in the 60's.

That's irony? You should write lyrics for Alanis Morissette.

Thanks Coastal, you made me laugh with that comment cuz you're probably right. Still, if it rains on your wedding day I just reckon that's either bad luck or a really bad omen.

according to the "old wives" ,here in Britain, if it rains on your wedding day it is a good omen. That's all.

I started reading your post up to you mentioning Patty Duke and thought 'yes I understand the 'irony'. But after reading on realized you missed the 'in your face irony' that should have hit you like a ton of bricks'

Words & Music by Sid Ramin and Bob Wells

Meet Cathy, who's lived most everywhere,
From Zanzibar to Barclay Square.
But Patty's only seen the sights
A girl can see from Brooklyn Heights — What a crazy pair!

But they're cousins,
Identical cousins all the way
.
One pair of matching bookends,
Different as night and day.

Where Cathy adores a minuet,
The Ballet Russes, and crepe suzette,
Our Patty loves to rock and roll,
A hot dog makes her lose control — What a wild duet!

Still, they're cousins,
Identical cousins
and you'll find,
They laugh alike, they walk alike,
At times they even talk alike —
You can lose your mind,
When cousins are two of a kind.
