One of the best Argentine movies

"Buena vida delivery" is, together with "Esperando la Carroza", one of the best movies to illustrate how Argentine society suffers and deals with the different crisis our country is used to.
Luckily, most of our directors know how to find the way, to change this reality into black humoured comedies, using high level performances, and creating the most imaginative situations, which even though seem to be a little bit overreacted, they fit perfectly in our political and social context.
I just love this movie, one of the best Argentine movies ever made.
Ignacio Toselli starts the movie as a naif boy, lonely and shy, and his transformation during the film as astonishing, developing his character to all his extent in an amazing way.

I gotta say that, at first, i prejudged the movie I thought it was a silly comedy but obviously it proved me wrong. Like you said I liked the way the director handled the situation in Argentina and the performances were very good:comedy and reality.

PS:naif meaning "ingenuo"? if it is so it ain't written like that,it is "naive"

Don't mean to be rude, but as an Enlgish teacher, I was pretty sure on the spelling and usage of the word "naif"...

naif:
–noun 1. a naive or inexperienced person.

–adjective 2. Also naive.

Both words are Ok.

C'ya! And thanx for the comment! :)

I wouldn't call Buena Vida (Delivery) one of the best argentinean movies but certainly is a good film, a good tragicomedy. Specially considering it was the first work directed by Leonardo Di Cesare.
I suppose in order to fully get this movie either you have to be argentine or to have some knowledge on the recent history of that country. Otherwise would be hard to understand why somebody like Patricia (Pato), apparently so sweet and noble does such awful things to Hernán (and presumably to other guys). And will be even harder to understand why Hernán can't simply get rid off the plague (Pato's family) once and for all without the need of hiring a gang of criminals much worse than Pato's family.
