Canadian Mens Hockey Team...

Was disapointing. I'm saying this AS a Canadian that I think they could have played better.

I don't know. I mean don't get me wrong, but Team Russia has an amazing squad, and they are extremely hard to beat.

Near the end of the third peiod though, Team Canada really started to give it their all, and if it wasn't for that ref's quick whistle on that shot by Thorton, Canada could have had a better chance at winning.

We looked completely inept with the puck. Who could have imagined that Canada could ever have a problem with scoring? I really hate to rag on my own country but I really don't think we gave it our all. If we did theres no reason we should have been shut out in three f ucking games!

Was the ref. Italian, or Russian? If he was Russian, I don't what to think. Maybe if he was from a different culture, I probably still think he wanted the Russians to win, because of that goal, he said it wasn't a goal.

Canada could've had a goal, if one of the Russian players didn't trip the determined Player from the Canadian team. I was really thinking he could've had the goal. That looked embarrassing too, for him.

Well I think it's regod-damndiculous, that neither the states or Canada made it because every player on their team is payed millions of dollars each year to play good hockey! Looks like they're paying the wrong guys!

And I´m saying as a Czech that ours could have played MUCH better against Sweden yesterday. I don´t hope in a bronze medal...

I think its time to get rid of the NHL players from the games (all pro players for that matter, basketball etc) and go back to the young amateur players who are HUNGRY for the game and to use it as a stepping stone to move INTO a professional career. Enough of these prima donnas who, frankly, aren't worth it...

I agree with you - such players don´t make up a real transparent team, their are such individualists that they aren´t able to function as only one unit of a group...but I´m, eventually, satisfied - we got the bronze medal, but, on the other hand, Jagr declared he won´t play for the national hockey team any more:-(((((((.

I nearly threw a tantrum after that game. The reason we lost is because the team was playing as individuals, and not as a team.

reply

I think the reason was that, they were still getting over the other losses, and trying to hard. The reason why they lost to those easy players, was because, they thought they knew they were gonna win.
