We got 3 medals soooo far!
2 Gold and 1 silver!

If the #2 pencil is the most popular, why is it still #2?

Norway is made of snow. The United States barely ever snows in the states that are awesome in the Olympics (Texas and California)

Ever heard of the 1960 Olympic Winter Games that were held at Squaw Valley in California?

How about the 1932 & 1980 Lake Placid Winter Olympics in New York?

Apparently four years is too long ago for you to remember that the 2002 Winter Olympics were held in Salt Lake City, Utah.

You do realize that you only mentioned two out of the 48 other states in the U.S. (one of which hosted a Winter Olympic Games), don't you?

You obviously know nothing about the U.S. or the Olympic Winter Games that have been held here.

After reading almost every post on the current winter games in Italy, yours is probably one of the most ignorant.

Congratulations!

I realize this is a bit belated, but nothing I said was wrong, except about the make up of Norway which was clearly an exaggeration. Therefore your's is the ignorant post.

Appreciation is a wonderful thing: it makes what is excellent in others belong to us as well

Everything you said about Texas and California was wrong in your original post. Here, let me highlight it...again.

Your comment about Norway may have been an "exaggeration" on your part but you did not make that very clear especially coupling it with the latter sentence which is completly and utterly wrong. You clearly wrote that it barely ever snows in Texas and California. It snows a lot every winter in both states and California is known world-wide for having many world class ski resorts. I already listed one that a past Olympic commitee all agreed was good enough to host the winter games. Do you want a list of all the ski resorts here in Cali to prove once again that you are wrong about California's snowfall percentage in certain areas? Would that make you happy? There are many all over the state. Why not find out for yourself how much it snows in both states via Google.com or any other search engine? You will then clearly see how wrong you are without someone else pointing out your ignorance.

Besides, Norway has SEVEN medals.
Norway is kicking America's ass! Big time! Big time!
Go Norway!

Currently the U.S. is ranked 3rd in total medals earned and Norway is ranked 13th out of the 23 nations that have won medals. Germany is in 1st place in the total medal count.

It looks like the snow is melting in Norway and America is kicking their ass, BIG TIME!

Go USA!

At the moment America is 2nd only to Germany with 20 medals to Germany's 24. Your beloved Norway is currently 6th in the list of total medals.

but america is tied with canada and another country for third. so that doesnt mean anything. did america lose out in the mens hockey (question mark) - josephalbert89

This thread has nothing to do with hockey so your post "doesn't mean anything". Just kidding. However, your men's hockey team lost too, that is if you are a Canuck. Congrats to your women's hockey team though, again, if you are Canadian.
