Maria Petrova & Alexei Tikhonov (2000 World Pairs Champions) are NOT retired yet! The Russian Skating Federation asked them to stay one more season!

Denkova & Stavisky (ice dance champions from last year's World Championships) are also staying in elegible competition.

Polish pair Zagorska & Siudek are also staying in, particularly so they can compete in the European Championships in their hometown of Warsaw in a few weeks. They married and are now introduced as Siudek & Siudek. How romantic!

Evgeni Plushenko hwas announced he plans to compete NEXT year (2007-08). Irina Slutskaya is UNDECIDED about her status. I believe Sasha Cohen is also undecided.

So, that's the latest from the elegibility list.
