Favourite joke/line?
My favourite was: (About the Scottish) "They want what we have: Order, sobriety, hope." LOL. That episode was so un-PC

shareFollowed a close second by: "Sometimes you've got to be a bigot to bring down a bigger bigot." LOL

hahaha yeah that was a good one. That show has so many good one-liners.
shareSaving the baby when the ambulance explodes cracks me up every. single. time.
I believe they spent all that episodes budget on that one scene so were unable to film the rest of the episode.
"Here, let me cut up your pork piehhh..."
shareI love that scene... and Linda (The lady in green) was so pretty!
One of my faves is when Linda says "I don't know your name..." Sanchez
says.... "Dr. Sanchez!"
I also Like the line about Sanchez having the disease for 10 minutes and spreading it to all of Rumford in those 10 min. Implying he gets around! Classic
I want my future wife lie in bed and say "But I don't even know your name!". Just to exclaim in Matt Berry bravado: "Doctor Sanchez!" before diving on her.
shareMy All time Fav is from Thornton Reed.
"God, I wish I was out hitting the ward with those young bucks. But I'm old, tired, spent, busted, rusted, stuck in a moldy old office with just a moody woman for company..."
Hahah yeah that was one of my favourites as well. After I posted the initial question I realized there are too many good ones to chose one favourite. :)
shareEvery single line from Dean Learner is just insanely brilliant :D
share"Cool it, Sanchez, or you'll get a knuckle supper!"
share"I had a cat once, dropped a couch on it. It was a write off, so I stood on it's 'ed."
So unnecessary, but it cracks me up every time. Reed is a legend.
hahaha. This is one of those series that I really wish had had a few more episodes, or a whole other season. It is witty on so many levels.
shareI said the same damn thing to my missus last night. I think that it's slightly more niche than a lot of comedy shows ( poorly-made 80s medical drama/scifi/horror pastiche? ) so never really got- or gets- the recognition it deserves. Much more marketable to churn out another duff workplace-based-sitcom I guess. Crying shame.
shareCrying shame indeed. You make a good point: I think it was slightly too niche for the "average" viewer. Here in Canada I had never even heard of it until a friend with eclectic tastes turned me on to it in 09/10 if I remember correctly. I'm very glad he did, because it's one of my favourite comedy mini series of all time (along with Spaced).
One thing I will give the Brits: they are much smarter (less greedy perhaps?) about stopping series when they are at their peak, rather than stretching them to many seasons and letting things stink well past their best before date. Many American series start off great and then get worse with each season simply to feed the greed mill.
