Bad air date

I think it would be better if they premeired this on 9/11. I mean, its so close to the actual date so why not?

Makes sense... But I want to see it so badly, I am perfectly happy with the air date.

To write like JKR, you have to think like JKR. Me, 7/03/04, 5:11 PM

Ok think about it, this movie is going to have enough emotions tied to it. Airing it on the day it happened would probably make it worse!!

I can understand what you are saying in that it might be too soon--however, please don't make the mistake of thinking "Pearl Harbor" (2001) was the first movie made about the incedent. there were movies involving the attack on Pearl Harbor very soon after it happened. There were first documentaries as with 9/11 but even while WWII was still being fought there were movies being produced about the attack on Pearl Harbor that were films-not documentaries. I think that making a movie like this is something that has to be treated with respect-but I do not necessarily think it is a bad idea to try at this point in time. From what I have heard so far it is well done so I think it is just fine.
If it is done with proper respect it is fine. I remember in December of 2001, just three months after the attacks on the World Trade Center there was an episode of "Touched by an Angel" that centered around it.

I think it should have been made sooner after the incident but I saw the movie and it just made me remember being in school that day and talking about it 'then going home and watching cnn for hours and all the horror that I thought about everytime they showed the towers falling.I was just spellbound remembering all of that stuff. So I think that it had a great air date.

Don't worry... because I have hunch that Disney Channel will undoubtedly re-air this movie again on Sept. 11th. The reason why they premiered this month was because it was the 3rd of 3 NEW Summer movies premiering this Summer. "Zenon: Z3" was #1 in June. "Stuck in the Suburbs" was #2 in July and "Tiger Cruise" was #3 this month. It was purely a promotional thing as to why the movie premiered this month instead of next month... besides all new movies always premier on Friday night and Sept. 11 this year is a Saturday... so the movie would have premiered Sept. 10 if they held it back a month.

Anyway, like I said already, I have a strong hunch that it'll air again on Saturday, Sept. 11th @ 2pm and again @ 8pm.

I think that they will air it again on Sept. 11. And your right that is a saturday and I know that for sure because that is the day of my first football game this year.

i'm with you guys. i wish they would have either waited until the anniversary or re-aired it then because it would have given people a better feel for the movie because it would've made them think back to how they felt then. they probably would've thought "wow, 3 years have passed already." i felt that the 1st anniversary took forever to get here. i really think that america wasn't able to fully heal until the 1st anniversary. once the 1st anniversary had come and gone, i felt like i had been healed a little bit.

to emotional to air it for the first time on 9/11..i think i would have spent more of the time crying then actually watching it if they had shown it for the first time on 9/11
