I was aboard USS Constellation CV-64 on September 11th, 2001

I was on that Tiger Cruise on board the USS Constellation! Me and my twin brother were "Tigers" and we loved being on the carrier. First, we flew to Hawaii to meet our sponsor (our dad, who was a CWO2 at the time) and we only spent one day there in Hawaii but it was awesome. I remember that I was in my dad's stateroom that morning when the terrorist attacks happened. The CO of "Connie" called to order everyone aboard the ship and sent out an alarm that went "Reveille, reveille, six nine six nine, please refer to your television sets. The United States has been attacked!" I will never forget those words. The CO gave a debrief of the whole situation in Hangar Bay 1 of the carrier and lots of people were crying and hugging because they knew people who worked in the towers or had family who were in NYC at the time.
