What's with all the complaints??

I know I'm a little late, this game has been out a while but I've only just played the demo disc. After all the hype around this game, I read about it when it was first announced, I thought that it would be a must buy. After hearing all the negative press and critisism surrounding it's release I decided against purchasing it.
2 days ago I was in a store and asked one of the clerks if it was as bad as everyone said it was, his answer was to give me a demo disc and let me decide for myself.
I was blown away - yeah there are frame rate issues but so what? Get over it. I completed the demo levels and needed to buy it. So I did - and it does not dissapoint - graphics and sound are amazing I'm really getting into it. I never played Halo single player but I've played my fair share of multiplayer and yeah it was fun. I guess you can compare the 2 but KillZone is not a Halo killer - but it is damn good and easily the best 1st person shooter on PS2.
And hey if you don't like it, don't play it.

I haven't heard many people say it's bad. I've heard/seen maybe a couple average reviews, but nothing TOO big. The thing was that there was SOO much hype that many people got upset. It's an amazing experience, AND ONLY 20 bucks! Get it, man. It's great! Seriously, look up some reviews. I doubt you'll find many bad ones.

Who cares if it is a Halo killer or not? Just buy the game, its worth it and it is a lot of fun to play! Nice graphics and a good sound and it plays smooth.

I'm playing it now. It's *beep* awesome! It lived up to it's hype IMHO.

Bishop II were Android! I thinking you should watch Alien 3 again, idiot maledoro

Don't think i've had a funner experience playing a video game. I bought this game and didn't put it down for three days until i beat. The only other game that comes close to KillZone in fun factor is Resident Evil 4. just pure craziness, from the Helghast onslaught to the covert mission, Killzone kicks helghast A$$

personaly, I thought Halo was stupid, Killzone was much better in every way.

but dont worry, Killzone 2 on the PS3 will dominate game sales for along time. I cant wait.

Saw the trailer for Killzone 2 for the PS3 and decided to check out the original and I was not disappointed its awesome,one of the best games for the PS2.
and it only cost me 10bucks on ebay!!

The problem was that it was hyped up too much, if it hadn't of been promised as a "halo killer" people would've loved it. But yes very underrated, it's a fantastic game. I don't like Halo very much, it was fun for an hour and then get's pretty slack.

You might as well think all FPS are better than Halo, since Killzone is just some random PC FPS Sony bought and ported to PS2.

Yeah, this game kicks so much.

Its boring in some areas, but it passes over. I wish Hahkah got more screentime, the game becomes alot more interesting when he joins the group.

Stuff like this reminds me of "Movie Poop Shoot.com" from Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.
