The only non puppet characters are one very young girl who dances like an adult would and are two grown men, sorry two grown men in tights prancing around her. Not to mention no adult female character.
Maybe it's all innocent and very European or it's un/intentionally creepy.
well in the orginal one that had julianna as stephanie maybe because she was like a 17yo playing younger role, with the new season this year they got a new girl playing stephanie which i think is closer to age of role

I like that they branched out and decided to utilize puppets for the majority of the kids on the show. It gives the series a Jim Henson-esque feel to it, and those kids never age.
