This show should be dead now. What are they going to do, make it about the trophy wife spending Boyd's money and sleeping with the young male employees?

Actually, I'd watch that show and laugh my ass off.

I saw a post (in Discovery Channel Forum) by one of the co-owners of a boatin the Deadliest Catch show. She said that many scenes were staged or edited w/another situation on-board by the Director to add "drama" to the show. Her posts were deleted and the boat is no longer shown on the show.
She mentioned one scene where a senior crew member was promised that he would Captain the boat, but the offer was withdrawn. What happened was that this crew member was leaving the boat to Captain his dad's boat in the USA. He later returned to Captain the boat, but it was not shown in the program.
It's just TV folks....
