When did Charlie leave?
I just watched Part 3 of the Rad Rod build off and Blue bear was sacked. Not surprised. I missed PArt 2 though and didn't notice Charlie in Part 3. Did Charlie leave in Part 2 of the build off?
He left sometime after the hotrod build-off; maybe 2 or 3 car builds later. In the hotrod build-off, he is seen travelling with everybody else in the mobile home during the race.

shareFrom what I've seen Charlei leaves after the Woodie is finished. He starts working for Chip building a car they entered in the Riddler comp. I actually talked to Charlie at Foose Design this summer and he said he loves working for Chip.
shareI knew that was Charlie. I just saw that episode of them building the Riddler car. Glad he liked it better than Boyd. Chip seems like a much better guy to work for.
shareCharlie is building a shop back in Nampa, Idaho; he did have a body/paint shop there in the past and did work for Boyd off and on before the TV show began; He lived at Boyd's home for two years before leaving. The reason Charley worked so many late nights was to be able travel back to ID to be with his family. He did the same in Overhaulin'.

I think Charley did the right thing. You've got to look after your family number one. Family first, then cars. Like he said, there's always going to be another car.
