...that they destroyed some perfectly good classic cars
all for the sake of customizing it.

Look what they did to that rather nice-looking
'40 Ford convertible, for example. It looked as
good as when it first left the showroom, until
Boyd & Co. got their grubby mitts on it.

So this is how liberty dies-with thunderous applause?

Most of those cars weren't even used anymore.

Yes. It is. When you own something, you can do whatever the hell you want to it.
