Shook me to my core

I just saw the documentary this morning on HBO and words cannot describe the guilt its subjects' suffering generated in me. The user comment posted on the documentary's main page engaged me to write something, but I am truly at a loss. The impact of this documentary and its subject matter is a thing beyond words and has my recommendation for becoming a piece of essential viewing for the general public.

I had to watch it in chemistry class because at the time we were studying nuclear power and my teacher bought in the DVD. Those poor kids -- I couldn't bare to watch this movie a second time.

If this happened in this country every person would get a million dollars and would be relocated to a safer area, with a new house. The Russians just let them stay there and continue to have deformed children. One kid in a hospital said, through the translater, "We used to have a tv but they took it away. Now it is very boring here. Please, could you give us a tv, or a radio?"

I just finished watching this and words cannot describe how I feel right now. It's a very powerful documentary, one everyone needs to see.
