So..about macy gray's character

I'm sure it was macy gray's acting, but it seems like she was mildly retarded. Every line came out slowly as if they were holding her cue cards off camera. Her character seemed less funny and more sad.

Macy Gray is sort of like that in real life though. Awkward and clumsy.

reply

she was like that in training day aswell

Trust me. There are "real" people like that. And Macy plays the "tack-head" role extremely well. I think that's why they keep casting her that way in different films. It doesn't require that she step too far away from what she's best at, so they type-cast.

LOL: Another poster once brought up the point that Macy may have been - er- dipping into the nose candy during filming.

Based on her atrocious performance in this film and Macy's generally "out-there" public behavior, I think I am inclined to agree!

reply

I laughed at her death scene. It was so weird and she made it funny with her voice!

I have to say they didn't exactly make her attractive in this film LOL. I feel badly for her b/c she's either a REALLY great actress or basically seemingly drunk all of the time.

i love seeing Macy. just whatever she does is brilliance
She was the best thing in The Crow 4 and in this and when you see her live she's always a little loopy. Love her

My teenage ansgt has a body count

i found myself wanting to hit her in the face with things

is that wrong?

reply

I think she's a terrible actress. She gets parts, though, because she is Macy Gray and there's a novelty factor. Like Traci Lords was, for a while.
