This is the soundtrack of 2004 even though the movie only releases next year!! Beats Veer Zaara, Swades.. everything else.. even Devdas, but of course not the fantastic Lagaan..hehe. But make sure you buy it!!!
The best songs on the soundtrack are "Hum Hain Iss Pal" and "My Wish Comes True."
I tell you what, next year's gonna be a ripper of a year with "The Rising", "Black", maybe "Bijrao Mastani" and of course "Kisna" all releasing next year!!! I can't wait!!!
Brilliant Music!! It's like u can't tell whether the song was composed by A.R.Rehman or Ismail Darbar. Both of them have influenced each other so much in the music.
true but it ~was~ set in another time period so it had to have a different fell about it... Sort of like Lagaan, yet more on the classical side. Majority of da songs are not as lively!
*War does not determine who is right. It determines who is left.
> Its sad that its not very well advertised... I mean no one has actually heard of the song "agayaa"
Well, I have :-)) - at least since a few hours. Today I listened to some new movie soundtrack CDs in my music store, and this is the one I finally bought. I had never even heard of this movie before, all the more I was surprised to read all the disappointed reviews here, I thought, judging from the music, it would be a great film. Seems I can bury my hopes.
Actually I was not looking for an *Indian* soundtrack especially. I've got only two until now: the one of "Monsoon Wedding" which I like *very* much and the one of "Bollywood-Hollywood" (or the other way round) which is real cheap crap. Don't know anybody I hate enough to give him or her the CD for his/her birthday so I might get rid of it finally. But this "Kisna" soundtrack is what came closest to the "Monsoon Wedding" quality, so I am really considering of watching the movie, too, despite the reviews I read here.
A.R Rahman only composed four of the songs: Hum Hain Is Pal Yahan and Kisna Themes 1 & 2 and Kisna Chorus. All the others were produced by Ismail Darbar of Khamoshi, Devdas and Deewangee fame.
Gosh, Im in love with Kisna's beautiful soundtrack!!! Every single song is as beautiful as the film is, im disappointed that it recieved such negative responses... This is truly the film India should have given to the oscars. I especially love the playful track Kisna, the illustrious mujra in the form of the song "chileman" and danced with absolute grace by guest star Sushmita sen in the film, and of course the beautiful track Hum hain Is Pal Yahan
