Kisna Won't Work!

I think this movie is going to fail.

The reasons:

-When people (Indian) are trying to forget history, you try to keep reminding them about the past.

-The star cast is not strong or doesn't appeal.

-There is no freshness, same old stuff of british rule, a brit. girl falling in love with Indian guy and the hero trying to fight for the freedom etc.

-The music is good but easy to be forgotten.

-Vivek looks more like a saadhu (a saint) than a warrior (he tries to match Mel Gibson's character in Braveheart though).

-Too much expectations from the audience (which generally leads to disappointment).

-Not sure whether Antonio is a known actress in Britain.

This i am saying before the release, so those who are curious to watch the movie, go for it.

Would like to know comments from the rest.

Cheers,
Prashant

Subhash Ghai has lost his touch,Kisna is a loss.SHEER WASTE OF MONEY

Kisna is disappointing except for AntoniA Bernath, a newcomer with a future in
Hollywood, not Bollywood.

the younger generation does need to know the history of their motherland and were always reminded of it i think the films gr8 have film has flaws not just kisna

reply

i have to say i agree.
one of the reasons i didnt like this one is the fact that subhash ghai doesnt pay attention to those tiny details. its such a well known fact, i wonder why he doesnt do anything about it. he always tries to make them glossy and everything ... man, he's annoying! if u take someone like mani rathnam (roja, dil se, bombay etc.), for example, you'll find that rathnam tries to be as 'flawless' as possible. if ghai did the same, he'd be so much better!

however, i dont completely agree with what u said about the cast. i thought the acting was pretty good. i think oberoi should come up qiute a bit ..

anyway, that's just what i think ...

Yes I am one of the disappointed fans of Ghai. I think he is getting old. I just left the theater around 10pm ( it was started at 8:30pm). Couldn't take it. Felt like story was going no where. I read somewhere that this was his dream project or some sh*t. How can you fail miserabley in your dream project?

I aint got anything against someone who reminds people of history.

USA always remind people about 9/11, thay have already made 2 movies in 5 years and non of them show some sings that the Bush Administration were involved

reply

Actually, I'm all for movies that show Indian History...they are the only Bombay Film Industry movies that can make me teary eyed...
Speaking for many kids in America, we love movies about the past...it's just that Kisna wasn't "the past"
