Why all the rigamarole over the clothes?
When Elvis takes Paul's body to the lake to bury it, he removes Paul's clothes.
He then takes the bloody clothes home and rinses them in his shower.
From there, he puts the clothes in the trunk of his car and drives around in the normal course of his work for who-knows-how-many days.
Finally, he drives to some remote location, takes the clothes out of his car, pours gasoline on them, and burns them.
What gives? Paul's body is hidden within the depths of a lake. Why remove the clothes in the first place?
Anyone have any theories or care to discuss?
